Jamie Foxx set for Spider-Man role?

Jamie Foxx thinks the role of villain Electro is a good fit

Jamie Foxx is reportedly set to play a baddie in the next Spider-Man movie.

The Oscar-winning Ray star is in talks to play Electro in the follow-up to this year's The Amazing Spider-Man, reports Variety.

Jamie added weight to the reports by dressing as the villain - who can control electricity and was thought to be one of the baddies in the new film - for a Halloween event.

He tweeted: "Dressed up as Electro for Halloween last night. Costume fits well."

Andrew Garfield has confirmed he will reprise his role as Peter Parker and his webbed superhero alter-ego, with Emma Stone expected to return as Gwen Stacy.

It has been reported that Shailene Woodley is in talks to play new love interest Mary Jane Watson in the movie, although nothing has been confirmed.

Production is set to begin in early 2013, for a release in May 2014.
