Jane Levy has confessed she laughed the whole way through the remake of horror film Evil Dead in which she stars, because her character is so outrageous.
The 23-year-old actress - best known for her role in US sitcom Suburgatory - stars in Fede Alvarez's remake of Sam Raimi's classic 1981 gory horror movie about five friends who unwittingly summon evil demons while staying in a remote cabin in the woods.
Jane confessed when she saw the film: "I wasn't scared, I laughed the whole time! But it's because it's me saying outrageous, perverted things the whole time. I think my friends found it funny too. But for most people out there I'm sure it's pretty terrifying."
The actress also admitted making the film was "kind of comical, not scary" because it was so extreme.
But she confessed: "I watched the original movie after I got the part and it was really scary to me actually when I watched it.
"Horror films aren't really my thing, I get really scared. And I'm not one of those people who enjoy being scared. I know that's why people go to watch horror films because they like it, but not me."
:: Evil Dead is released in cinemas on Thursday April 18.
