Jarecki wants Gere for new project

Nicholas Jarecki is writing a new film called Fuel

Arbitrage director Nicholas Jarecki has revealed he is already hoping to get Richard Gere to star in his next film.

The Pretty Woman star earned a Golden Globe nomination for his performance as a corrupt banker in Nicholas's feature debut co-starring Susan Sarandon and Tim Roth.

Nicholas revealed at the thriller's premiere in London: "I'm writing a new script. It's called Fuel. It's a detective story about electric cars, and I'm losing my mind writing it, but I hope I'll finish it and maybe Richard will even be in it!"

The 33-year-old actor said he wanted the Hollywood star to join Arbitrage, as what he describes as a "business gangster" because he thinks he looks like a banker.

He said: "Richard Gere is a dashingly handsome man, but he has a confidence and a smoothness. You trust him.

"He looks like he works in finance - I can see myself buying a stick for him. But at the same time he is not afraid to go deep. He's not afraid to access the pathos that I think gives this film it's bite."

This isn't a good time to make travel plans. Weather conditions and work responsibilities have a way of wreaking havoc with your schedule. Wait another few days before putting down a hefty deposit. Working behind the scenes will yield significant rewards. If someone asks you to serve as their assistant, go ahead and accept. The pay will be excellent and there will be a lot of fringe benefits, too. Don't talk about a neighbour's private life in mixed company.More
