Jean Dujardin is in talks to join Martin Scorsese's The Wolf Of Wall Street.
It would be the Hollywood debut of the Oscar-winning French actor, who won awards for his silent performance in The Artist, reported Variety.
Jean is tipped to be cast as a "suave Swiss banker" in the financial drama, which is based on Jordan Belfort's memoir and adapted by Terence Winter.
Leonardo DiCaprio is already on board as a substance-addicted New York stockbroker, while Jonah Hill and Kyle Chandler also have parts.
Filming on The Wolf Of Wall Street is expected to begin this summer.
Jean - who has also won Bafta, Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild awards for his turn as silent film star George Valentin in The Artist - will next return to his native tongue in French film The Players.
He is also set to star in thriller Mobius opposite Lie To Me's Tim Roth and a remake of Claude Berri's One Wild Moment with Vincent Cassel.
