Jeff Bridges film delayed again

Jeff Bridges' film Seventh Son has been put back by Warner Bros for the second time.

The fantasy adventure, which also stars Julianne Moore, has had its release date delayed until next year, said Variety.

Seventh Son was originally due to be released in February this year but was put back to October, and has now been delayed again until January 2014.

It was formerly known as The Spook's Apprentice and is based on Joseph Delaney's young adult novels about a teen, the seventh son of a seventh son, who is learning about wizardry from a forbidding spook.

The film's studio and finance partners Warner Bros and Legendary Entertainment have just announced they will part ways rather than extend their deal together.

Out at the same date in January 2014 is another adaptation, The Book Thief, as well as animated comedy The Nut Job and comedy Ride Along.
