Jennifer Aniston lands new comedy

Jennifer Aniston will play a therapist in a new movie

Jennifer Aniston is set to play a therapist in a new movie.

The former Friends star has joined the cast of Peter Bogdanovich's comedy She's Funny That Way, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

She joins Owen Wilson, Jason Schwartzman and Eugene Levy in the movie, which will follow a married Broadway director (Owen) who falls for a prostitute-turned-actress.

Jen, who previously played a therapist in her friend Courteney Cox's TV show Cougar Town, will also share the screen with Cybil Shepherd in the movie.

The star's latest casting comes just days after it was announced she would star in science-themed comedy Convention.

Jen will co-star with Gandhi actor Sir Ben Kingsley and Zero Dark Thirty's Mark Duplass in director Justin Reardon's movie.
