Jeremy Renner to replace Farrell?

Jeremy Renner may replace Colin Farrell in Virtue Fall

Jeremy Renner is reportedly in talks to replace Colin Farrell in Virtue Fall.

The Irish actor dropped out, and negotiations are taking place for the Hurt Locker star to step into his shoes and take the lead role in the drama alongside Eric Bana.

However, Jeremy's commitment to work in the forthcoming Mission: Impossible reboot, where he'll appear with returning star Tom Cruise, has complicated matters, reports Deadline.com.

Virtue Fall, Sheldon Turner's directorial debut, is said to "chart a professional and personal relationship between two characters that evolves from friendship to betrayal and retribution".

Jeremy is one of the most in-demand actors around, since his starring role in Kathryn Bigelow's Oscar-winning film. He is also up for the role of Hansel in Hansel And Gretel: Witch Hunters, said Collider.com.

He is also attached to appear in director Paul Thomas Anderson's The Master, James McTeigue's indie period piece/thriller Raven and Marvel's ensemble superhero film The Avengers, as Hawkeye.

The 39-year-old will next be seen in Ben Affleck's The Town opposite Mad Men's Jon Hamm and Rebecca Hall.
