Joe Cornish for Rust adaptation

Joe Cornish is reportedly set to direct Rust

Attack The Block's Joe Cornish has signed up to direct the film adaptation of graphic novel Rust, according to reports.

Joe will be making the film for 20th Century Fox, the Hollywood Reporter said.

Rust is described as a "high-octane adventure set in the prairie lands of an unknown time".

Written and drawn by Royden Lepp, the comic book features a family farm trying to recover following a devastating world war.

English director Joe co-wrote The Adventures Of Tintin and made his movie directing debut with comedy sci-fi film Attack The Block, which was set in south London and featured gangs of youths fighting off an alien invasion.
