Johnson in talks for The Rundown 2

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson is in talks to reprise his role in the sequel to The Rundown, director Peter Berg has revealed.

The 2003 action comedy starred Dwayne as a bounty hunter who is given the mission to go to Brazil to find his employer's renegade son, played by Seann William Scott.

Peter told Collider that he is still interested in making the follow-up, saying: "W e just met with writers, so we're trying to do it."

The Lone Survivor filmmaker revealed he is trying to find a co-star to act opposite Dwayne, hinting that Seann would not return.

"I really want to do it. I've talked to Dwayne. I have an actor in mind that I can't say that I want to work with Dwayne on it, and we want to do it," he continued.

"We're meeting with writers now. I want to do it," he added.

Peter previously expressed interest in making a sequel but admitted that "no one can ever get motivated and focused enough to do it".

Dwayne, last seen in Fast And Furious 6, will next star in Hercules: The Thracian Wars, where he plays the Greek hero.
