Jack Jones is set to star alongside Bradley Cooper in political thriller American Hustle.
The 60s crooner last appeared in a movie in 1982's Airplane II: The Sequel, but is now signed up to the Sony film, said Variety.
He will join a big name cast including Bradley, Amy Adams, Jennifer Lawrence, Christian Bale and Jeremy Renner.
Wives And Lovers singer Jack, 75, will finish shooting his part before he starts a month-long concert tour of the UK in May and June.
American Hustle, originally titled American Bulls***, is about Abscam, the FBI sting operation involving a fictional Middle East sheikh that lead to the 1981 convictions of a US Senator and five members of the US Congress for accepting bribes.
Directed by David O Russell, it is currently filming in Boston and will be released in December.
Scenes from the film were shown to audiences at CinemaCon in Las Vegas this week.
Jack's latest album is called Love Ballad, which he will be promoting on his UK tour.
