Josh Brolin talks Goonies sequel
Josh Brolin has admitted he isn't sure how he feels about the possibility of a sequel to The Goonies - although he would jump at the chance to be in it.
A follow-up to the 1985 cult hit, in which Josh played teenager Brand, has been in the works for some time and it seems it is getting closer to going ahead following reports that Steven Spielberg has come up with a storyline.
But Josh revealed in a Reddit session that he isn't certain a sequel is a good idea.
He said: "There's always a possibility. Seriously, no teasing. About every five years it comes up. I've never read a script. It seems that recently in the last year, there's been more talk of it than usual from the likes of Corey Feldman and Richard Donner. But that's as far as it's gone for me.
"I don't know how I feel about a sequel, given that I love the original movie so much."
However, the 46-year-old later said on Jimmy Fallon's chat show that he would definitely sign up to be in The Goonies 2 if it came about.
"I would do it in a second. Of course, I would do it," he said.
In his Reddit session, Josh - whose movies include Milk, No Country For Old Men and Sin City: A Dame To Kill For - said making the adventure film about children who go looking for treasure was the best experience of his career.
He said: "I've never had more fun on a movie than I did on The Goonies. I thought that was how it was going to be for the rest of my career. And even though there have been massive fluctuations in the past 30 years, I still hold that as my greatest experience."
