Josh Duhamel to star in indie film

Josh Duhamel has joined the cast of Strings

Josh Duhamel has joined the cast of indie film Strings.

The former Transformers actor joins Touch star Maria Bello and X-Men's Lucas Till in the movie, reported Variety.

Strings, to be directed by Daniel Duran, follows a DJ (Lucas) who sets out on a trip to find himself after giving in to the pressures of the industry.

Safe Haven star Josh is set to play an army veteran who helps him.

The ensemble drama starts shooting this month.

Josh, 40, has several big screen outings coming up, including black comedy Movie 43 and thriller Scenic Route.
