Justin Theroux is set to get behind the camera for Swear To God

Justin Theroux will act as creator on new comedy Swear To God.

The actor, writer and director will rewrite and direct the Warner Bros project which is set to star Will Ferrell and Steve Carell, Deadline reports.

The two-hand comedy sees Will play a narcissistic hedge fund manager who thinks he has seen God.

The film is due to be shot next July after Will and Steve have finished work on Anchorman 2.

Justin - who is currently dating Jennifer Aniston after they starred together in indie comedy Wanderlust - wrote Tropic Thunder and Iron Man 2 and is also attached as writer and director on Zoolander 2.

He made his directorial debut with rom-com Dedication in 2007.
