Kate Winslet tells of skin problems

Kate Winslet has told how she suffered from skin problems during her twenties.

The actress said she her position as an ambassador at cosmetics giant Lancome has "done so much for my inner strength and confidence".

She said: "I suffered from such bad skin in my twenties."

The 38-year-old said quitting smoking three years ago had "transformed" her complexion.

The Titanic star, whose third child Bear was born in December, also told how juggling her career and personal life is "always challenging".

"There's no magic formula, and every movie is different, based on the level of commitment and the location," she told the Mail on Sunday's You magazine.

"But I manage somehow. I guess I'm very fortunate that I'm asked to read some fascinating scripts."

Winslet paid tribute to her husband Ned Rocknroll, saying he "really motivates me" and "has the most extraordinary energy".

Meanwhile, she cited her best memory as an actress as winning a role in the 1994 film Heavenly Creatures.

She added: "That and playing Rose in Titanic and Clementine in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind changed everything for me."
