Keira's apocalypse plan: Get drunk

Keira Knightley stars with Steve Carell in Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World

Keira Knightley has said she would get drunk if the world was ending.

The British actress - who earlier this year revealed she downed shots of vodka to film spanking scenes in her film A Dangerous Method - stars opposite Steve Carell in new comedy Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World.

Keira said if she knew the end of the world was really coming: "I'd drink an awful lot, I wouldn't want to be sober at the end of time."

In the film Keira plays Penny, who ends up thrown together with her neighbour, played by Steve, as the end of the world approaches.

Keira revealed at the film's premiere in Los Angeles: "I think there's been a lot of films made about the end of time and I've never seen one like this.

"I thought it was an extraordinary thing that you make a film about the end of time and yet it's incredibly life affirming and positive and helpful and I just thought that was extraordinary.

"What I loved about it is what becomes important for all the characters is friendship and love. It's none of the c*** and all of the good bits and I thought that was a lovely message."

The Pirates Of The Caribbean actress and The 40-Year-Old Virgin funnyman seem an unlikely on-screen pairing, but Keira revealed how much she loved working with Steve.

She gushed: "He's just the nicest guy, he really is. He's an absolute sweetheart. He's a total professional. I can't say enough good things about him, he's just lovely."

The two of you get along very well, but beware of the financial toll this relationship will take. The object of your affection likes expensive things. If you're not able to provide them with the luxuries they crave, there will be problems. Then again, you have the potential for being a good provider, so all may be well.More
