Kidman films Paddington in London

Nicole Kidman has been spotted filming scenes for Paddington in London with Matt Lucas.

The Rabbit Hole actress was spotted sitting in the back of a black cab wearing a blonde bob wig, with Matt Lucas at the wheel as the cabbie, according to the Daily Mail.

The pair are appearing in the film based on the Paddington Bear children's books, alongside Colin Firth who voices Paddington, and Hugh Bonneville.

Nicole's character is an evil taxidermist and she was also seen standing in front of a man hanging upside down by his ankles in one scene, who looked as though he may be a stunt man standing in for Matt's character.

The Australian actress, 46, recently told Vanity Fair she had stepped back from the fame side of her career, moving to Nashville with husband Keith Urban and their two daughters, saying: "There's an enormous amount you have to give up if you want to have a family."

But she admitted she couldn't turn down Paddington: "My agent called and said, 'We've got this offer from London for you to be in a film about a Paddington Bear.' And I said, 'You mean the Paddington Bear?'

"I was read the stories when I was little and I grew up with Paddington. I know all about his adventures and what mischief he got up to."

Paddington is due to be released in cinemas on November 28, 2014.
