Kidman for Reconstructing Amelia?

Nicole Kidman will apparently play a grieving mother in Reconstructing Amelia

Nicole Kidman could be up for another harrowing role in upcoming film Reconstructing Amelia.

The Australian actress, who gives an impressive performance in The Paperboy opposite Zac Efron and John Cusack, is rumoured to be starring as a "workaholic single mother" who tries to look for answers after her teenage daughter's apparent suicide, reported Deadline.

Nicole's character is drawn into the world of teenage social media and starts uncovering the secrets that mother and daughter kept from one another.

The 45-year-old would also be an executive producer on the film, which is the big-screen adaptation of Kimberley McCreight's debut novel and is in development now, through her production company Blossom Films.

Nicole, who starred in Stoker alongside Mia Wasikowska and Matthew Goode, has said she looks for challenging roles, explaining: "I'm at a time of my life where I don't have to play by the rules and I can work with visionary filmmakers who aren't making formulaic films. I want to be tested beyond my comfort zone."

She will next star in The Railway Man with Colin Firth and as Grace Kelly in Grace Of Monaco.

The star has also shot a cameo appearance in the Anchorman sequel and is set to start work on psychological thriller Before I Go To Sleep alongside Mark Strong and Anne-Marie Duff.

Don't deny yourself pleasure. It's important to indulge your sensual side. When you don't, you become irritable. Take this opportunity to splash out on new clothes. Soak in a scented bath. Get a massage. Enjoy a long nap. Do whatever your heart desires. If anyone dares complain you aren't working hard enough, maintain a stony silence. You're incredibly intimidating, especially when you're quiet. Anyone who has become too reliant on you needs to be more self sufficient.More
