Kim Kardashian is to star in Tyler Perry's new movie The Marriage Counsellor.
The 31-year-old reality TV star - who married her third husband, basketball player Kris Humphries in August - has done some acting before but this will be her first starring role in a feature film, TheWrap reports.
The film is about a marriage counsellor who is great at dispensing advice, but is having problems in her own relationship with her accountant husband.
Kim will play the counsellor's friend and colleague, Ava, who helps the marriage counsellor get her life back on track and get a makeover.
Friday Night Lights star Jurnee Smollett will play Judith, the counsellor.
Tyler, who wrote the original stage play and has adapted it for the big screen, will direct.
Filming begins in Atlanta next week.
