Kingsley joins Brooklyn Bridge
Sir Ben Kingsley has signed up to star alongside Daniel Radcliffe in the upcoming Brooklyn Bridge.
The Iron Man 3 star will play Daniel's character's father in the film about the building of the New York landmark, where Daniel stars as inexperienced engineer Washington Roebling who has to take over the building of the bridge when his dad dies.
Brie Larson has also joined the cast, playing Washington Roebling's wife.
Pascal Degove, managing director of Goldcrest Films who are handling sales, said: "This is a film that distributors are really excited about. That this enthusiasm is shared by a highly commercial blend of acclaimed contemporary talent and acting royalty is really a testament to Doug's script and his extraordinary strength as a filmmaker."
Christine Vachon, a producer for the Killer Films project, added: "We knew this was a special project from the moment [Douglas McGrath, writer and director] shared his script and it's going to be thrilling to see it come to life in the hands of such talented, fearless and brilliant actors."
