Keira Knightley says Adam Levine was a natural at acting in their upcoming film Begin Again

Keira Knightley has said she loved working with Adam Levine on his first film, Begin Again, because he was such a natural.

The Pirates Of The Caribbean actress stars with Maroon 5 frontman Adam in the film about a dejected music exec and a young singer songwriter who has just moved to New York.

She told OK!: "I broke him in, that's right. I'd actually seen him live and that energy makes an experience. He's a born entertainer, so I wasn't worried about him expressing himself."

Asked if she gave Adam any acting tips, Keira replied: "He didn't need any. He's a natural actor and a very lovely man to work with, so it was a lot of fun."

The Jack Ryan star added that she had not been as much of a natural at playing a musician, saying: "[Adam] tried to teach me how to play the guitar - he failed. I didn't smash it over his head, I'm proud of myself... I'm not a singer or a musician, so I had to fake it."

Asked if she would keep up the singing, she said: "Nope, I'm fine. It was fun, but I think I'm bad."

Begin Again is due out in cinemas on July 11.

Gemini:

Someone will break a promise to you, which is disappointing. Don't let this setback stop you from crossing the finish line. You may have to submit an entry late or attend the last few minutes of a meeting, but take heart. Rallying in the midst of difficult circumstances will count in your favour. Someone else may get a job or scholarship, but you'll be in the running for the next opportunity. In the meantime, have an alternative plan ready when relying on others for help.More
