Knoxville planning to take Sick Day
Johnny Knoxville has signed up to star in comedy film Sick Day.
The Jackass star is attached to feature in the movie which will be directed by The Break-Up writer and producer Jeremy Garelick, according to Deadline.
It centres on three friends who have a tradition of all calling in sick one day a year to fulfill fantasies without getting caught, described as a modern-day Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
The other two friends are still to be cast, but Jordan Cahan has been brought in to rewrite the script and 24's Brian Grazer will produce.
Director Jeremy is currently working on comedy The Wedding Ringer, starring Josh Gad and Kevin Hart, while Johnny can be heard later this year voicing Leonardo in the reboot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
