Krysten Ritter is to star in a movie about New York's indie rock scene.
The Breaking Bad actress has joined the cast of Asthma, which is being directed by Oscar-winner Dustin Hoffman's son Jake Hoffman, reported Deadline.
She joins Benedict Samuel and Christine Lahti is the movie, and Albert Hammond Jr of The Strokes will also appear, playing himself.
Asthma is said to focus on the "live fast, die young mentality" of the Big Apple's indie rock scene.
Jake will be making his directorial debut with the film, which he also wrote.
Krysten has several films coming up, including Tim Burton's Big Eyes and the Veronica Mars movie, in which she will reprise her role of Gia Goodman from the TV show.
