Krysten Ritter has said she is "over the moon" after being cast in Tim Burton's movie Big Eyes.
The Breaking Bad actress is joining Amy Adams and Christoph Waltz in the biopic about artists Margaret and Walter Keane, reported Deadline.
She tweeted: "Over the moon!! It's been a dream to work with Tim Burton! Dream big kiddies!"
Amy will play Margaret, whose paintings of big-eyed children became one of the first mass-marketed art sensations of the 50s and 60s. Christoph will star as her husband, who went on TV talk shows and claimed he was also responsible for the artwork.
The film, which Tim has been developing since 2010 with a script from Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski, centres on the artistic coupling of the painters, their eventual divorce and heated court battle over the authorship of their paintings.
Krysten will play DeeAnn, the "free-spirited confidante to Margaret who tries to coax her friend to come out of her shy shell".
