Kylie signs up for earthquake movie

Kylie Minogue has continued acting while focusing on her pop career

Kylie Minogue has joined earthquake action movie San Andreas.

The pop star will take on a supporting role, details of which are being kept under wraps, The Hollywood Reporter said.

The film, directed by Canadian filmmaker Brad Peyton, is currently shooting on the Gold Coast of Australia.

Aussie turned London resident Kylie will join Dwayne Johnson and Carla Gugino in the disaster movie.

After an earthquake hits California, a firefighter (Dwayne) and his ex-wife (Carla), are forced to embark on a dangerous journey from Los Angeles to San Francisco to save their daughter.

Ioan Gruffudd and Archie Panjabi also star in the film.

It's thought that Moulin Rouge! actress Kylie will lend her talents to the San Andreas soundtrack too.

The Warner Bros film is set for release next June.
