Kyra Sedgwick is set to take a lead role in the thriller Big Sky.

The Closer actress will appear alongside Disney Shake It Up star Bella Thorne in the film which is based on an original chilling Spanish film called We Are What We Are, according to Deadline.

Kyra and Bella play a mother and daughter who are on their way to a psychiatric clinic in the desert to help Bella's character deal with her paralysing agoraphobia when they are attacked by gunmen.

Zero Dark Thirty's Frank Grillo and Les Miserables' Aaron Tveit will also have starring roles in the film which has the same director as its Spanish version, Jorge Michel Grau.

Kyra is also set to appear in Kill Your Darlings, Reach Me and The Road Within, while Bella has The Familymoon and Alexander And The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day coming up.
