Laurie lined up for villain role

Hugh Laurie could be playing the villain in a new Disney movie

Hugh Laurie could be set to star as a villain opposite George Clooney in a Disney sci-fi film, according to reports.

The former House star is being lined up for a role in Tomorrowland, directed by Ratatouille and Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol filmmaker Brad Bird, The Hollywood Reporter said.

Lost co-creator Damon Lindelof has penned the script for the film, due out next year, along with Jeff Jensen. But the project remains highly secretive.

Hugh was recently linked to the role of notorious pirate Blackbeard in US action-adventure TV series Crossbones.

Hugh's role as a genius but cranky doctor in hit TV show House propelled him to stardom in the US.
