Lautner to team up with The Rock?

Taylor Lautner could be set to star in Goliath

Taylor Lautner could be facing up to Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson in Goliath.

6ft 5in Dwayne is already in talks to play Goliath, while an offer has been made to the 5ft 10in Twilight heartthrob for the role of David in Scott Derrickson's big-screen adaptation of the Biblical epic, reported Twitch Film.

The film is set to focus on David as the future King of Israel, who goes on the run as the warrior Goliath has been sent to kill him.

Twilight producers Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey are producing Goliath.

Taylor, best known as werewolf Jacob Black in the Twilight Saga series, is lining up his post-Twilight roles with a forthcoming lead in Abduction alongside Jason Isaacs.
