Lautner to Trace an action role
Taylor Lautner is set for another action-packed role in Tracers.
The Twilight heartthrob, who previously starred in Abduction, will take the lead in Daniel Benmayor's action thriller, reported Collider.
Taylor will have the opportunity to show off his stunt skills as he plays a bicycle messenger, described as "the hottest thing on two wheels", who becomes "seduced" by the world of parkour when he crashes into a stranger.
The 20-year-old, who will reprise his role as werewolf Jacob Black for the final instalment of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 alongside Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, previously said he would love to be as successful in Hollywood as Tom Cruise, although they are "big shoes to fill".
"Those are some big shoes to fill. I would give anything to have a tenth of the career that Tom Cruise has had," he said.
"I mean, this was amazing but as an actor, I don't want to just do one thing. I want to be able to challenge myself to a wide variety of roles so I look forward to doing something new and different next."
He was rumoured to be starring in Gus Van Sant's new film and is in talks to appear in Grown Ups 2 with Adam Sandler.
