Law says Sherlock 3 being written

Jude Law has offered fans an update on Sherlock Holmes 3 by saying he thinks it is being written now.

The actor, 40, plays John Watson in the big screen version of the detective tale, alongside Robert Downey Jr as Sherlock.

A third film has not been officially confirmed, but Jude told Digital Spy: "We had a meeting earlier this year, the three of us (Jude, Robert and director Guy Ritchie), and I think it's being written now. Warner Bros have still got to agree to pay for it... I think they want to!"

The last Sherlock Holmes instalment, A Game Of Shadows, was released in 2011.

Guy has signed up to direct the next film again, reportedly hoping to base production in Los Angeles, and earlier this year producer Dan Lin said that Iron Man 3 writer Drew Pearce had been hired to pen the script.
