Jennifer Lawrence is to play Christian Bale's on-screen wife in David O Russell's next project.
The Hunger Games beauty will team back up with The Silver Linings Playbook director and her co-star from the award-winning film, Bradley Cooper, who is also on board, Deadline reports.
The untitled drama - previously known as American Bulls*** - was written by Eric Singer and Russell and is based on the real-life story of FBI sting operation Abscam, which exposed a lot of corrupt politicians in the 1970s.
Christian and Amy Adams will play a pair of scam artists who are caught by an FBI agent played by Bradley. He does a deal with them to get them to help his major sting operation that ended in the arrest of several major mob criminals and bent politicians.
Jeremy Renner and Louis CK are also on board and casting is still ongoing for the ensemble piece.
