Lawrence wants Bridget Jones role
Jennifer Lawrence has revealed her dream role is to play Bridget Jones.
The Oscar-nominated actress, who currently stars in The Hunger Games, would like the chance to step into the shoes of Renee Zellweger, who previously portrayed the lovelorn working woman in the big-screen versions of Bridget Jones' Diary and the follow-up, Bridget Jones: The Edge Of Reason.
"I have always wanted to play Bridget Jones. I want the movies to not exist so that I can do that," she said.
"That's the movie I put on when I am homesick, although England is not my home. When you're feeling 'bleh' and you want a movie that you're never bored of watching, Bridget Jones is that for me so it's natural to say that I want to be Bridget Jones. But I never wanted to replace Renee Zellweger."
Jennifer - who received her Oscar nod for Winter's Bone - admitted she got offered similar roles after that.
"I think I was definitely the go-to girl for wilderness - the dark, depressing squirrel girl. I just like good scripts, good directors and good stories," she added.
However, the 21-year-old confessed she doesn't like seeing herself on screen.
"When I see myself, I never think it's me. I have come to terms with knowing that I'm going to hate every picture and every movie I'm in. I'm like a horrible troll that will never act or work again," she joked.
