LeBron James set for Trainwreck

Basketball star LeBron James is joining Judd Apatow's next film, Trainwreck.

The director - whose hits include Knocked Up and This Is 40 - has cast LeBron alongside Tilda Swinton, Ezra Miller, Brie Larson, Captain Phillips actor Barkhad Abdi, Wu-Tang Clan rapper Method Man and pro wrestler John Cena, Deadline reported .

Plot details are being kept under wraps, but the film is thought to centre around a woman attempting to take control of her life.

Trainwreck has been penned by stand-up comedian Amy Schumer, who will also take a starring role.

James, who is 6ft 8in and has won two Olympic gold medals, had a cameo in the TV series Entourage in 2009.

Acclaimed US filmmaker Judd last directed This Is 40, starring Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann.
