Lewis will be Our Kind Of Traitor

Damian Lewis has joined the cast of John Le Carre film adaptation Our Kind Of Traitor.

The Homeland star has signed up to a big screen version of the classic spy novel, which already has Ewan McGregor, Naomie Harris and Stellan Skarsgard on board.

The film is about an English couple on holiday in Antigua who get caught up in the dealings of a Russian mobster who is desperate to defect and Damian will play a member of the British intelligence service.

Our Kind Of Traitor is due to begin filming in London later this month and also stars Sherlock's Mark Gatiss.

Damian's other upcoming projects include playing Henry VIII in the BBC adaptation of Wolf Hall, and starring as Lieutenant Colonel Charles Doughty-Wylie opposite Nicole Kidman in Queen Of The Desert.
