Fast And Furious filmmaker Justin Lin has given his thumbs up to James Wan, who could be revving up the seventh film.
James, who directed Saw and Insidious, is in talks to take to the driving seat for Fast And Furious 7, following Justin's decision to leave the franchise after taking the reins for four films.
Justin, whose last Fast film will be Fast And Furious 6 this summer, told Deadline: "I'm extremely proud to be part of the Fast franchise. It is an experience I will always treasure. It's time for me to move on to other things and I'm thrilled that Universal and Neal (Moritz, producer) have selected James Wan to lead the franchise into its new chapter."
Vin Diesel and Paul Walker are set to return for the seventh instalment of the car-packed series, with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Tyrese as possible returning co-stars.
Filming on Fast And Furious 7 may begin as early as this summer for a 2014 release.
