Vin Diesel's Fast And Furious 7 will not have Justin Lin in the driving seat.
The director, who has taken control of the last four films in the franchise, has decided not to direct the seventh instalment, said The Hollywood Reporter.
Justin's exit from the franchise is reportedly because of timing clashes with Universal studios wanting to release the film in summer 2014, and not creative differences with the studios or leading man Vin.
The Taiwanese-born filmmaker, who would have had to prepare for the seventh film while finishing off post-production on Fast And Furious Six, apparently admitted to insiders that the rush would not result in his best work.
Universal are now searching for another director to take the reins.
Vin, who plays street racer and fugitive Dominic Toretto in the films, has already hinted that shooting on the seventh film could start this summer, when Fast And Furious Six opens in cinemas.
"Filming begins this summer in LA, where it all started... talk about a studio in sync with the audience," he wrote on his Facebook page.
