Lindsay Lohan is apparently set for a starring role in the next Scary Movie film.
The US starlet, who is busy rebuilding her screen career after years of personal and legal problems, has signed up for Scary Movie 5, reports E! News.
The casting news has been rumoured for some time and as of early last month, Li-Lo hadn't officially been offered the part. However, E! reports that she is now definitely on board.
A spokesperson for the 26-year-old said she has not inked a deal "as of right this moment" but insiders insist Li-Lo will be starring in the film.
The first four movies starred Anna Faris, but she has apparently decided not to reprise her role in another sequel.
Anger Management star Charlie Sheen is rumoured to be making an appearance despite the fact his character died in the fourth movie.
Scary Movie 5 is expected to arrive in cinemas in 2013, but before then Lindsay can be seen in indie thriller The Canyons.
