Blake Lively has revealed her Savages co-star Salma Hayek was tougher than the film's male stars "put together".
Salma plays a drug-cartel power player in Oliver Stone's drama about three marijuana growers sucked into a world of high crime.
And co-star Blake said the older actress brought 'passion' to her performance.
"Just to watch this woman personally and see how strong she is and how much passion she brings to it - she just makes everything make sense," she said.
"And to have this testosterone-charged set, and then to have this woman who's stronger than all the men put together, it was very empowering."
Savages also stars Taylor Kitsch, Aaron Johnson, John Travolta and Benicio del Toro.
