Love scene not sexy, says Marlohe

Berenice Marlohe has a sex scene with Daniel Craig in Skyfall

Berenice Marlohe has revealed the sex scene with Daniel Craig in the new Bond film had more laughs than lust.

As glamorous Severine, the 33-year-old actress got to tussle with the James Bond star in Sam Mendes' Skyfall, and she credited her co-star's sense of humour.

"We have a steamy shower scene in Skyfall and it helped that he has a beautiful sense of humour. It's important to be able to laugh because then you feel relaxed and it's easier to make the audience believe what you're doing is truthful," she told the Evening Standard.

Berenice previously sparked controversy when it was reported that she suggested Daniel was "boring" but she insisted all she was saying was that sometimes good-looking men lacked personality.

"His sexiness has intensified with his status as Bond, but he is also very charming, a true gentleman," she explained.

The French-Cambodian actress - who will walk the red carpet alongside stars Daniel, Javier Bardem, Dame Judi Dench, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris and Ben Whishaw at the film's royal world premiere in London on October 23 - hopes that her role as a Bond girl will lead to more Hollywood roles.

"Playing a Bond girl has changed things for me because I receive more scripts and have more choices," she said.

"I'm not worried about being typecast because I didn't just create a Bond girl, I created a real woman in a real story."
