Lucas has plans for 'hobby movies'

George Lucas is still determined to retire to his garage and make hobby movies

George Lucas hasn't changed his mind about retiring from the movie business.

The Star Wars director has previously said that he'll only work on a fifth Indiana Jones film before he calls it a day making blockbusters.

Now he's told Empire magazine: "I'm moving away from the company, I'm moving away from all my businesses, I'm finishing all my obligations and I'm going to retire to my garage with my saw and hammer and build hobby movies.

"I've always wanted to make movies that were more experimental in nature, and not have to worry about them showing in movie theatres."

George previously spoke of ending his career at the helm of blockbusters after Hollywood bosses rejected his latest film, Red Tails, which he financed himself.

Last month it was announced that his film production company, Lucasfilm Ltd, has abandoned plans to build a sprawling studio in a rustic valley north of San Francisco, saying it has no desire to be seen as "an evil empire".

The project had aroused bitter opposition from local residents.

Sorting out and organising your surroundings should be your first priority. As a general rule, you don't mind an untidy workspace. As far as you're concerned, messiness is a sign of genius. There comes a point when even the most talented person has to make order from chaos. It may take a few hours to sort through all the papers that have accumulated, but take heart. Once you dispose the junk, you'll be able to zip through chores like a hot knife through butter.More
