Game Of Thrones star Richard Madden is set to star in period film A Promise.
The British actor will join Rebecca Hall for the pre-World War 1 drama about a young engineer who ends up falling for his benefactor's wife, Variety reported.
The pair are forced to separate when war strikes, and they meet again almost a decade later.
French film maker Patrice Leconte will direct, from a script he co-wrote with Jerome Tonnerre.
Richard is currently filming the third series of Game Of Thrones and will start work on A Promise as soon as filming wraps later this year.
