Zack Snyder has been commissioned by Warner Bros to make a second Superman movie, just as he unveiled Man Of Steel to the world.

The director was joined on the red carpet at the world premiere in New York by his Superman and Lois Lane, Henry Cavill and Amy Adams, along with stars of the movie Kevin Costner, Russell Crowe, Michael Shannon and Laurence Fishburne.

Kevin Costner plays Clark Kent's adoptive father, while Russell plays Superman's real dad from the planet Krypton, Jor-El. Michael plays the villain, General Zod.

Zach and script writer David S Goyer - who wrote The Dark Knight trilogy - have been fast-tracked to begin work on the sequel, according to Deadline.

However, it is believed producer Christopher Nolan will take more of a back seat role with the sequel as he is busy with other projects.
