Stephen Mangan has confessed he's concerned about singing on the big screen in the new Postman Pat movie.
The Episodes star voices the well-known postman in the upcoming 3D animation, which also stars Rupert Grint, David Tennant and Jim Broadbent.
"I can sing, but Postman Pat is meant to have the voice of an angel, it's meant to be a bit of a SuBo moment when people hear him, so I'm not sure I'm quite up to that standard," the dad-of-two, 43, admitted.
"I still haven't convinced my four-year-old that it's actually going to be me. He'll work it out, but then again it's a cartoon, it's not as if I'm going to be up there with a ginger mullet and postman's hat on."
The actor, who is due back on TV in the first full BBC Four series of Dirk Gently, said of the postman: "He's an icon. Who wants to be James Bond? I got to be Adrian Mole and Dirk Gently and Postman Pat!"
