Marsden joins Anchorman sequel

James Marsden is joining the new Anchorman sequel as a rival anchor

James Marsden has joined cast of the Anchorman sequel.

The X-Men actor is thought to be playing a rival anchor to Will Ferrell's Ron Burgundy in Anchorman: The Legend Continues, reports Deadline.

He joins the stars of the 2004 film, including Will, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, and David Koechner, who are all set to reprise their roles.

Kristen Wiig is also attached to Adam McKay's film and there have been reports that Terence Stamp is up for a part.

The eagerly anticipated movie is due to be released in America on December 20 2013.
