Maze escape film premieres in Belfast
The premiere of escape film Maze has taken place in Belfast ahead of its release in cinemas next week.
The film was written and directed by Stephen Burke and stars Dublin actors Tom Vaughan-Lawlor and Barry Ward.
The trio attended the premiere screening at the Movie House Cinema on the Dublin Road on Thursday in association with the Belfast Film Festival.
Maze is inspired by the real-life story of the 1983 Maze prison break-out, which saw 38 IRA prisoners attempt to escape from one of the most high-security prisons in Europe.
Vaughan-Lawlor stars as Larry Marley, an IRA member and chief architect of the mass breakout, while Ward portrays a prison warder at the facility.
Maze received critical acclaim after its first festival outing at the Galway Film Fleadh in July.
In opens in cinemas on September 22.
