McConaughey joins Tatum strip flick
Matthew McConaughey is set to play a strip club owner in Magic Mike, an indie drama about the reality for male strip workers.
Channing Tatum and Alex Pettyfer are to star in Steven Soderbergh's film, based on Channing's real-life experiences as a professional stripper as a teenager in Florida.
Matthew will play Dallas, a former exotic dancer who now owns and runs Xquisite, the club where Magic Mike works, Variety reports.
Channing will star as Magic Mike, who takes a newcomer to the industry, played by Alex, under his wing and teaches him how to hustle both on and off stage.
Young British actor Alex has previously said of the role: "I will do whatever needs to be done.
"I am definitely going to have to take some dance classes. I don't think male strippers use poles. The male stripper has no props apart from themselves."
