McConaughey to head Interstellar
Matthew McConaughey has confirmed he is to star in Christopher Nolan's Interstellar.
The Killer Joe star told the Star Tribune that he is set to join the sci-fi drama by the Dark Knight Rises filmmaker, saying: "I'm confirming," but nothing else.
Little is known about Interstellar, except that it depicts "a heroic interstellar voyage to the furthest reaches of our scientific understanding".
Filming is expected to begin in the summer for a 2014 release.
Matthew - who stars alongside Nicole Kidman and Zac Efron in The Paperboy - has finished shooting HIV drama The Dallas Buyers Club with Jared Leto and Jennifer Garner.
The Magic Mike actor, who is filming HBO anthology drama series True Detective opposite Woody Harrelson, will next be seen in Jeff Nichols' drama Mud with Reese Witherspoon and Michael Shannon, and is attached to Martin Scorsese's crime drama The Wolf Of Wall Street.
