Mel Gibson could be starring in the next Expendables movie

Mel Gibson has been tipped for a role in the third Expendables movie.

The Machete Kills star looks set to play the villain in The Expendables 3, although the casting has not been confirmed, reported Showbiz 411.

Mel was previously linked to the film earlier this year, when the franchise's star Sylvester Stallone revealed that he would love to have him on board as the director.

He tweeted: "Mel is a MAGNIFICENT director! Pure passion on every level . we'd be blessed to have him... A REAL long shot, but LIFE is a long shot - right?"

It has now been announced that Patrick Hughes will be at the helm of the next instalment of the action franchise, but it seems Mel will be involved as a cast member.

Sly, Jason Statham, Mickey Rourke and Jet Li will all be returning for the third film, and Jackie Chan, Nicolas Cage, Milla Jovovich and Wesley Snipes are all said to be in talks about parts.

The Expendables 3 is expected to start shooting this year, for a possible release in 2014.

Capricorn:

Your dry humour will be very popular. It's always difficult bringing a large group of people together. Everybody feels like they are walking on eggshells. After cracking a few jokes, you'll put the group at ease. Resist the temptation to make fun of relatives, especially the more sensitive members of the group. Nobody likes feeling singled out. Watching a light hearted comedy can also be a great way to generate a festive atmosphere. This is a time when people can put their differences aside.More
