Mel Gibson could be joining The Expendables 3, Sylvester Stallone has hinted.

There had been rumours that the Mad Max star would portray a villain in the third instalment of the action film franchise.

Now Sylvester has teased on Twitter: "Mad Max vs Barney Ross......", referring to his character in the franchise.

Sly - who is writing and producing in the third film - will also reprise his role as group leader Barney, alongside returning cast members Jason Statham, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Mickey Rourke. Jackie Chan, Nicolas Cage, Wesley Snipes and Milla Jovovich are among the rumoured newcomers to the movie.

The Rambo star also tweeted: "New TEAM a Blessing! Best Group of the year... EXPENDABLES Looking Fresh and Strong."

The Expendables 3 is expected to start shooting soon, for a release in summer 2014.

Jason, who will return to his role as Lee Christmas, said: "I don't know where we're going to shoot it, or if a particular story has been put together yet, but it'll be happening this summer, so we've been told."

Sagittarius:

Expressing your creative side is strongly advised. Take this opportunity to write, paint or play music. Relatives may not appreciate your work, but that doesn't matter. The important thing is to satisfy your own taste. People who are daring and experimental will appreciate your efforts. Don't be surprised if you're given a chance to showcase your work in a magazine, boutique or gallery. Fame and acclaim can be yours, so long as you're willing to follow your instincts.More
