Idina Menzel has said that she would love to be involved in the big screen adaptation of Wicked.
The actress and Broadway star played the original role of Elphaba in the stage show and told Digital Spy she would be up for returning to the character, or any other way of being part of the film.
She said: "It's the 10-year anniversary of Wicked in a couple of days so it's just a real nice reminder of being a part of something that I'm so proud of and if a movie comes out of it, well that will just be terrific.
"If I could be a part of it in some way that would be great. But I already feel like I received, and continue to receive, the gifts from Wicked and how it affects audiences."
Wicked is currently in development at Universal Pictures but has not been cast yet and doesn't have a release date.
Idina voices a part in the current hit Disney animation Frozen, which also features Kristen Bell.
