Milla Jovovich for Expendables 3?
Milla Jovovich is the latest name to be linked to ensemble action blockbuster The Expendables 3.
Sylvester Stallone - who is writing and starring in the third instalment of the franchise about an elite group of mercenaries - has previously revealed he was hoping to persuade action stars Jackie Chan, Nicolas Cage and Wesley Snipes to join his latest sequel.
Now Lionsgate have confirmed to Deadline that the studio is in "advanced negotiations" with those three actors and Milla for the movie.
Milla had previously been linked to a female spin-off version of The Expendables, called the Expendabelles, based on the feisty wives and girlfriends of the original team.
Sly, 66, previously revealed that Jason Statham, Mickey Rourke and Jet Li will be returning for the third film, and teased about getting action heroes such as Antonio Banderas, Harrison Ford and Clint Eastwood on board.
The Rambo star also said he has been inspired by Indonesian action film The Raid: Redemption.
"EX3 is in high gear... many choices to make, some Big surprises.. Scouting eastern Europe and Asia... we are going all out on this one... Could be a big surprise!!" he wrote on Twitter.
"Thinking about Raiding, THE RAID... think about it... We believe we can do better than the RAID, which was an excellent film... Raising the bar..."
The Expendables 3 is expected to start shooting this year, for a possible release in 2014.
